The thought of finding a work at home job can be nerve-racking. You want to make sure you are not applying for jobs with scam companies. You want to make sure the job offers everything you are looking for at the present time and you’re only coming across jobs that need a specific type and years of experience. Most people who are interested in the thought of working from home often don’t know where to start and don’t have a career that is easily transferable to working at home.

Many companies understand the frustration of this and as a result, offer work at home opportunities for those with no particular experience and who are looking to learn the industry. If you have a variety of soft skills that you use in everyday interaction, you would be a great fit for opportunities like these. The most important skill to have is the ability to work independently.

Keep in mind that with the majority of these companies, you’ll need a computer, and some additional equipment that would be specified in the job description on the company’s website.

The below companies frequently offer work at home opportunities with no experience required:

Virtual Assistant Jobs

Fancy Hands  – This company hires virtual assistants as independent contractors to assist clients with tasks like scheduling appointments, purchasing items online, customer service, and more. Pay is reported on Glassdoor as between $8 and $11 per hour.

Upwork  – Upwork is a huge freelance marketplace that frequently offers tasks for virtual assistants. Keep in mind that they do take a 10% cut of any payment you receive. You have to have a successful pitch in order to obtain and maintain clients. Check out The VA Handbook http://www.thevahandbook.com/elevator-pitch-examples/ for some examples of good pitches.

Indeed – Indeed is, in my opinion, the best and largest job board out there. Just type “virtual assistant” in the search bar and see what you find. Millions of companies and entrepreneurs post there each day and you might land a really good long term virtual assisting job.

Appen  – Appen is the same concept as I Soft Stone and hires Crowdsourcers and Social Media Evaluators. The pay is reported to be between $12 and $13 hourly.

Leapforce  – Leapforce hires independent agents to conduct research, evaluate Google results, and test the usefulness of webpages. The pay is $13 per hour, as of the time of this post.

Pleio  – Pleio hires independent contractors as Good Starters Mentors to assist with reminding patients to take their prescribed medications. Clicking here will give you a free $5 credit after you sign up to use on any gig to try out the site as a buyer and see how it works.
