Ebates Coupons and Cash Back

Most people would love to have a little extra cash in their pockets right now. We’ve all heard about the popular ways to make additional income like Uber, Lyft, or any of these other side hustle opportunities, but what about those that are less popular? In today’s post, I’ll be discussing eleven ways to make extra money, that are non-traditional but definitely effective. Make sure you check out the sites to ensure these opportunities are available in your area.

  1. Become a paid online juror

Online Verdict offers the ability for you to become an online juror reviewing and responding to legal cases from your couch. Your feedback is provided via an online questionnaire and the only requirement is being 18 years of age or older, and a U.S Citizen. You get to choose what cases you want to review. The pay is reported to be $20-$60 per case and is based on the amount of time it takes to review the case. You are paid via check 1-2 weeks after you complete the case review.

  1. Become a language tutor

Cambly offers opportunities for native English speakers to teach others English online in the comfort of their own home. There is no experience required with this site and you choose your hours. Time is automatically tracked by the site while you chat with students. The pay is $0.17 per minute (about $10.20 per hour) and you get paid every Monday via Paypal.

Another option for those that are fluent in other languages, and want to teach online is Verbling. Verbling is open to any country, so this is great for my international readers as well. You do need to have some teaching experience to apply, but a teaching degree is not required. Pay is not listed on the site; however, according to Glassdoor, teachers make $14-$18 hourly.

  1. Become a virtual city guide

If you live in a large city, this could be a great opportunity for you. Vayable offers the opportunity to become a guide to help tourists or those who just relocated to a new city, find their way around town through virtual tours. As a Vayable insider, you are an independent contractor that offers experiences that others should check out if they are new in town. You set your own schedule and are paid via direct deposit within 24 hours of your tour. You also set your own prices and they have guidelines to help you set a good price to bring in customers.

  1. Become a “Looker”

WeGoLook offers a service to businesses and individuals that need to inspect or assess locations, products, homes, or equipment, but are not available to do check it out themselves. You would be performing this service as a looker, on your own time and only for the types of jobs you want to do. The company offers an orientation first, and then you are given access to available assignments in your area. You will be paid $20 for most assignments, and could be more depending on the assignment type and location.

  1. Participate in a focus group

FocusGroup.com  is a website that I’ve personally used and have been able to find focus groups in my area to participate in. In one study, I was paid $100 for a 30 minute focus group on snack brands. The pay is going to vary, depending on the type of focus group and location. You can choose to test out new products where you make multiple trips the testing location, participate in clinical trials, or just sit and talk about different products or brands.

  1. Complete Tasks for others

With Taskrabbit, you can become a “tasker” and help people complete tasks that they are unable to complete themselves. You can set your hourly rate, the types of tasks you are willing to complete, and when you are available to work. You can also pick up available tasks from the dashboard and commit to those. I have found that work is not always consistent though, so you may get about 4 to 5 tasks per week, depending on the demand in your area, but it is extra money, nonetheless. TaskRabbit is fairly new so make sure to check and see if it’s available in your area yet.

Gigwalk is a similar site, where you make money completing tasks for people throughout the day. This could include tasks such as verifying roads, identifying landmarks or finding a park nearby. The tasks typically pay between $3.00 and $50.00 and you’ll need to download their app to get stated.

  1. Walk dogs or pet-sit

Sites like Rover and Wag allow to you sign up to become a dog walker and start earning extra income. With Rover, you can also house-sit, provide doggy day care services, or offer drop-in visits to your clients. You will need to pass a background check before being accepted with these companies. Pay is based on how many clients you service per month. You can work part-time or full-time hours.

  1. Sell your photos on your smartphone

Foap is a marketplace where people can buy photos that other people have taken and use for whatever purpose they need them for. To make money selling your own photos, you will need to download the Foap app, which is available on Iphone or Android devices. The pay for each photo sold is $5. There are also opportunities presented by different brands where you could earn $100 to $500 for a single photo if it is chosen.

Stylinty is another app that you can use to sell your selfies taken in name brand clothing. Once you tag the brands of the clothing you are wearing and someone purchases those pieces from your post, you get a commission of up to 20%. The commission is provided in points, and you can redeem those for products or cash.

  1. Write greeting cards

If you have a way with words, there are several websites that will pay you for your ideas and poetry, to be used in all sorts of greeting cards. Pay is typically $50 to $300 per submission depending on length and complexity. You can sign up with multiple companies to increase your chances of getting your submission accepted. 1. Sell your electronics online

Decluttr is an online marketplace that allows you to sell different electronics from their website. This site is unique because you get paid as soon as the next business day and it is free to ship your products. There are many other online marketplaces out there, but Decluttr definitely stands out. You will need to download the app to list your products and you can set your own prices.

  1. Sell cheap or free products

You can use a site like Craigslist or the Facebook marketplace to obtain free items in the “For Sale” section. You can then sell those items on the same platforms or have a local yard sale and make a reasonable profit. Many people list items for free because they don’t want to go through the hassle of trying to sell them for a profit, even though they could bring in some good income.

I hope this list is a big help to you, on your journey to make some extra cash. Have you tried any of these options? Do you know of any other extra cash options not listed here? Leave your feedback in the comments below.
