For those that don’t know, this blog is about working from home/telecommuting. I also showcase unique opportunities that may be available in your area and relate to having a more flexible schedule, some of which allow you to work from home full-time, or just a few days each week. One of the main websites I use as a reference for legitimate work at home opportunities is Flexjobs.

There are many people online that just talk about Flexjobs, but have never used it, or have never had any success from it. I am not one of them! After my first 60 days of using Flexjobs, I was able to secure a full-time 100% work from home job with an awesome benefits package and a parent-friendly flexible schedule. So how did I get started with Flexjobs? Keep reading below to hear my story.

So, if you’ve been a reader of my blog for awhile, you know I am still a fairly new blogger. I haven’t reached the one year mark yet with my blog, so I am still working on growing the blog and producing engaging content for my readers. I often hear about the success of full-time bloggers and how they were able to quit their brick and mortar job for the dream life of blogging full-time and they are making a substantial amount of income doing so. Two of my favorite hobbies are writing and reading, so when I saw the opportunity to start a blog, I didn’t hesitate for a moment, and jumped right into initial research.

Once I got comfortable with managing my blog, I knew this was something I wanted to do for a very long time. I knew I was going to need three things to substantially grow my blog to new heights:

  1. Time
  2. Creativity
  3. Multiple Platforms

If you work part-time or don’t work at all, these three attributes would normally be very easy to obtain; however, I still worked a full-time brick and mortar job at the time of starting my blog. I began to notice that the time I had towards the end of the day to write blog posts, manage promotion, and work on my own products, was dwindling away and was cutting too much into the time I had dedicated to daily activities with my daughter. All bloggers know that in order to have a successful, popular blog, you need to keep it updated with content that will keep your readers tuned in.

This left me with the realization that I needed to make a choice and I had two options: Quit my brick and mortar job and work from home full-time, or quit blogging. I was determined not to let the latter happen and I knew I couldn’t afford stop working full-time yet. I started looking into work at home jobs that would allow me to have a flexible schedule so I can comfortably fit all my daily tasks in and still have the perks of a benefits package and stable paycheck.

With work at home jobs being the niche of my blog, I found out very quickly about Flexjobs. I signed up for a free trial that was offered at the time, and started researching work at home jobs with a 100% telecommute option. What I really liked about the site is that there were always hundreds of new work at home jobs added on a daily basis. The site was trusted by many legitimate employers and I also learned about how thorough their screening process is to keep scam companies from advertising on their site. I was able to create my own profile and upload my resume, preferences, and set job alerts to be emailed to me on a daily basis. The employer I am currently working for actually found my profile on Flexjobs and we proceeded with a thorough and insightful interview process. I am just amazed by how flexible the job is and I have Flexjobs to thank for the amazing opportunity that has come my way.

Now I know many work at home jobs consist of the standard customer service, $10-$11 per hour, crazy work schedule criteria but Flexjobs offers so many unique opportunities that I haven’t seen on other job boards. Whether you have are a degreed, experienced professional, looking to work as a Consultant, IT Tech, or Analyst; or you’re a motivated individual without a degree and are looking for an entry level assistant, representative, or writer position, Flexjobs has many options available to fit your needs. There are many jobs available on the site that I would love to share with my readers but, you must be a member to view those jobs, so if you are really serious and ready to dedicate yourself to finding the work at home job you’ve been looking for, don’t waste anymore time!

There are several different membership options available:

1 Month: $14.95

3 Month: $29.95

1 Year: $49.95

I recommend you try it out for one month and see what it has to offer. Some of the perks include:

*50 different job categories to search by

*Free skills testing that can be used to showcase your skills by adding the results to you profile for employers to view

*Referral program for your friends. If you love the site, you can refer it and if they’ll get 30% off their first month, and you’ll get one month free!

*There’s no ads on the site so you can just focus on your job search

The site is definitely not perfect. There may be some aspects about it you don’t like but that is why I encourage you to try it out for one month first. You can cancel at any time right on the site, no need to email customer service or go through a waiting period.

Sign up for Flexjobs by clicking HERE or click the banner below and please remember to come back and share your experience with me. If you need help navigating the website, reach out to me and I will be willing to help in any way I can. I hope to hear that you’ve had the same great experience I have and remember, it does take time to hear back. You may not get hired right away, but you will have access to a large database of flexible part-time, full-time, freelance, and partial or 100% work at home jobs and your profile will be available to a huge library of employers looking to fill their telecommuting positions.

Thanks for reading!

  3. I signed up for Flexjobs for one year maybe 8 months ago. I will admit that I don’t really use it regularly. I should use it more to find things that work for me.
